We believe in high quality materials, personal customer interaction and timely deliveries of your product. Many of our most loyal customers have been with us since the beginning when we opened our doors and keep coming back for each project they work on.

Bear Creek Lumber’s inventory offers you a wide selection of Western Red Cedar, Alaskan Yellow Cedar and naturally, we also have Port Orford Cedar and Douglas Fir and Pine along with a whole lot more specialty products.
Our longstanding relationships with the finest lumber sources in the world gives us access to some pretty amazing materials that we then get to share with our customers. Many lumberyards sell all sorts of products including plywood, roofing, tools and general construction materials. Not us! We focus completely on the natural wood products that make your home, business or government project beautiful, sustainable and a pleasure to enjoy…
Along with many variants of softwoods, exotic hardwoods are another product that we specialize in. We buy these products from sustainable forest land managers in South and North America. What’s the best way to store my lumber once it arrives?
Storing Your Lumber Onsite: In order to properly acclimatize your lumber when it arrives, do not store it directly on the ground. Leave your lumber wrap on, this allows air to circulate air out, preventing dampness and mold. Do your best not to move your lumber when it is raining and keep your lumber on a dunnage so air has an easier time circulating. Any of your interior products such as paneling should be stored indoors and acclimatized in that environment.
Allow your lumber product to acclimatize for a week before applying it to a project. It is not recommended to store lumber in a room with fresh concrete or drywall. We also do recommend the use of stainless steel screws and fasteners which are resistant to corrosion and will not allow streaking to discolor your lumber over time.

The 2021 Building Season Has Begun!
If you are building in 2021, make sure you order your materials ahead of time. In the last couple of months, we have continued to see a high demand for our Western Red Cedar products, along with the Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Douglas Fir and Port Orford Cedar species.
It’s time to plan for your next project that needs exterior siding, interior paneling, ceiling paneling, decking and/or trim. We continue to see people running into lumber shortages this year due to the Covid-19 disruptions to supply chains and the increased demand for specialty lumber products as residential spending continues to lead construction numbers not only in 2020 but now again in 2021.
We are recommending that all our customers plan ahead for their 2021 building projects and secure the lumber and other materials they will need ahead of time.
