Thought everyone might enjoy a little project I have underway located in Mazama, WA. After much work at dirt level, we finally started going towards the sky. All of the framing work you see was done in one day with a little help from some friends. A big thank you to Pi, Vince, Doug, Leslie, Jake and Chris, Mary and I couldn’t have done it without you. The post and beam portion is Douglas Fir f.o.h.c. timbers and the post are kiln dried. Custom chingasa’s for a little added character where cut by me. We will eventually side this to match the house with Western Red Cedar. I am definitely looking forward to cutting my snow-blowing in half this winter. What am I going to do with all that extra time? Ski.
